Chicken and Shrimp Dumpling Burger

This Dumpling Burger was made from my leftover dumpling I made a week ago. A little twist makes a real difference.

  • 500 grams Ground Chicken
  • 250 grams Coarsely Chopped Shrimps
  • 8 cloves Garlic, minced
  • 2 Tablespoons Chopped Onion Chives
  • 1/4 cup Instant Oatmeal
  • 3 Tablespoons Oyster Sauce
  • 2 Tablespoons Sesame Oil
  • 1 piece Egg
  • 1 teaspoon Salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon Ground Black Pepper
  • 2 cup Cornstarch
  • 1/2 teaspoon Salt
  • 1 teaspoon Spanish Paprika
  • Oil for Frying
  • Sliced Loaf Bread
  • Mayo
  • Coleslaw
  • Pickled Sliced Jalapeño
  • Potato Wedges


  • Combine chicken, shrimps, garlic, onion chives, instant oatmeal, oyster sauce, sesame oil, egg, salt and ground black pepper. Mix thoroughly and chill for 4 hours.
  • In a separate bowl, whisk together cornstarch, salt and Spanish paprika.
  • Form a 4 inches by 4 inches patty about 1cm thick.
  • Drench each patty in cornstarch mixture and fry until golden brown. Pat dry to remove excess oil
  • Spread mayo on one side of the sliced loaf bread. Place the patty, coleslaw, pickled jalapeño and another sliced loaf bread. Serve with potato wedges.
