Chicken Barbecue Made Easy

Chicken Barbecue Made Easy is a brainchild recipe of my mom. She simmer the chicken then I baked it in the oven to caramelized the sauce.

Ingredients
  

  • 500 grams Chicken Leg and Thigh
  • 8 cloves Garlic, chopped
  • 1 bulb Onion, chopped
  • 1 cup Banana Ketchup
  • 1/4 cup Oyster Sauce
  • 2 Tablespoons Light Soy Sauce
  • 2 Tablespoons Dark Soy Sauce
  • 1 teaspoon Chili Garlic Oil
  • 2 Tablespoons Knorr Savor Rich Chicken Liquid Seasoning
  • 1/4 teaspoon Ground Black Pepper
  • 1 cup Water

Method
 

  1. Thoroughly clean the chicken. Remove excess fat and pat with paper towel to dry.
  2. In a pan, combine chicken, garlic, onion, banana ketchup, oyster sauce, light soy sauce, dark soy sauce, chili garlic oil, Knorr Savor Rich Chicken Liquid Seasoning, ground black pepper and water.
  3. Boil and simmer for 1 hour and 30 minutes over very low heat.
  4. Preheat oven to 240 degrees Celsius. Bake for 15 minutes.
