I love the aroma of cinnamon. It has this distinct scent that really makes me hungry or crave. The taste, combined it with brown sugar and you can’t go wrong. Cinnamon, sugar and green apple, that’s heaven. The mixture of flavors are simply amazing. The sweet spiciness of cinnamon, sweetness of brown sugar and the tartness from green apples just bring all the flavors together. I love them with apple pies.
A few days ago, a watched a video from facebook and got so much excited with baked french toast recipe. The look is so inviting. The ingredients are so common. Then, I thought, maybe this taste good with apple pie filling. Here I go. Luckily, we have so many green apples in the kitchen. It comes cheap and I need it for health purposes. So why not make use of it in a different way, right?
The recipe calls for cubed bread and I used tasty bread or loaf bread. I marinate the cubed bread in milk and egg mixture for 4 hours, though you can make it overnight. Instead of using regular milk, I used condensed milk to make it more flavorful. Speaking of flavor, I added some melted butter. That’s right. Butter makes everything taste so good.
