This Lasagna Bites Recipe is for my niece’s small birthday celebration. It’s her 8th month birthday. We had a simple celebration this afternoon. I was thinking what to cook. Then, I remembered this frozen lasagna bites at HalMec Solutions Provider Corporation. It hi met, why not make my own.
We had the usual lasagna and the rolled lasagna before. So why not try something new. This is something new to us. The lasagna is rolled into bite size pieces. Then, it is frozen before dipping in a breading mixture and deep fried until golden brown. It is served with marinara sauce on the side.
The result is a crispy outer layer due to the breading and an al dente lasagna filled with creamy meat filling. It may take a while to prepare and seconds to consume. But hey! It is totally worth the time and effort.
Tips
This Lasagna Bites Recipe can be prepared a head of time. What I did was, I prepared everything the night before and just cooked the pasta on the morning the following day. You can actually prepare and freeze the pasta the night before. Then, dip it in the breading mixture and deep fry the following day.
You can also add a stick of quick melt cheese, cheddar or mozzarella on each filling. This will give a gooey cheesy lasagna bites when fried. You can also use lean ground pork so you don’t have to scoop out the excess fat later on. If you don’t like pork, you can substitute ground beef or chicken. A little nutmeg powder can also added to the filling, though I don’t have nutmeg powder right now.
