Kimchi Fried Rice

Spread the love
Kimchi Fried RIce with kimchi seasoning

Who amongst you loves fried rice? I do! Nothing beats a hot plate of fried rice for breakfast. It’s like my comfort food and I know it’s weekend since I only go to get a decent plate of breakfast on weekends. So why not add a spoonful of kimchi seasoning to your regular fried rice? Yup! A nice hot plate of kimchi fried rice in the morning is really satisfying.

I woke up very early this morning since my body clock told me to wake up. I made my breakfast and decided to try the kimchi seasoning I bought online last month. A spoonful of it really elevates the regular fried rice into a nice flavorful kimchi fried rice. The kimchi flavor is so subtle and mind you, it’s not that spicy. Just a little bit of spice to wake you up in the morning.

Instead of having hotdogs and eggs on the side, I chopped those up and tossed it into the kimch fried rice and I had a one pot meal. You can check out my other kimchi fried rice recipes here.

I used to buy kimchi in the grocery before and chopped it up and save the kimchi juice and tossed it into the fried rice. It delicious as well, however I find a hint of sourness coming from the fermented vegetables. The Kimchi Seasoning on the other hand does not have this sourness. It has this savory kimchi flavor which is more on the salty sides. The spiciness level is really subtle and its like just an after taste. But the seasoning itself really makes the fried rice wonderful.

You topped it up with some fresh chopped green onions for that refreshing taste or a sprinkle of chili flakes for that extra kick.
