Bulalong Goto Recipe uses pork leg bone instead of the usual pork meat. My mom also added some chicken meat for extra bite. You can use beef bones its just so happened that my mom might get arthritis attack if she use beef bone.
If you know me, goto, lugaw or arroz caldo is one of my favorite breakfast or snack dish. It is basically rice porridge with different meats as ingredients. This dish is so perfect in this rainy and gloomy weather. This is my comfort food in this kind of season.
What is the difference between lugaw, goto and arroz caldo? Lugaw is the plain rice porridge. If you add pork or beef it will now be known as goto. If you use chicken meat this will be called arroz caldo.
I saw a half kilo of glutinous rice yesterday sitting on our table and I ask my mom what will she do with it. She told me she will be making goto since she bought a kilo of pork bone yesterday and it was very cheap.
You know that feeling that you are too excited for breakfast even though it is only dinner time? That was my feeling. Since this dish is my favorite comfort food. Also, this is perfect breakfast in rainy days.
